Wānanga - Engage in Te Ao Māori ( worldview) and tikanga (customs/traditions) and begin to consider how you can relate this to intergenerational faith formation.
TIAKI LEATHERS is a New Zealand Māori of Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Te Arawa descent. He is married to Maree and has 2 adult children.
He currently works as a Community Worker & Kaiwhakahaere (Manager) for Visionwest Community Housing, Christchurch. In his role as Kaiwhakahere he is guiding the Visionwest staff along a kaupapa Māori (Māori values) journey.
As a couple at Riccarton Baptist Church they have developed a course for new Christians and those interested on starting the faith journey, called Aroha Noa (Limitless Grace). This kaupapa Māori course displays Tiaki’s passion to equip believers to be released into their full identity in Christ and experience the freedom of God’s grace.
During this webinar you will experience kaupapa Māori and be encouraged, wherever you are on the journey, to thinking about how this could relate to intergenerational faith formation in your context.
Māori terms will be translated during this webinar.
